How many Benelli handguns have you seen? This is the Benelli B76 in 9mm and is one of the more obscure pistols I own. Fortunately, I found a really thorough rundown on it done by Ian of Forgotten Weapons. Apparently is was just in time to be made obsolescent by a certain Austrian upstart. It seems there were not many entities interested in a couple pounds of single stack, weird to field strip, steel service pistol.

Ian has an extended explanation in his video of why this operating system is "close to magic" in its true inertia delay system.

I cannot recall if it was one of these or a Bernardelli PO18 I was offered a few years back from an estate liquidation. Both are unusual and cool.

Good looking pistol. From what I have read about them, it is supposed to be a quality handgun and very reliable. I don't believe that I have ever seen one for sale. Hang on to that one.

A very interesting pistol. Grip angle reminds me of a Luger and they point well. Shot one a bit a few years ago. Belonged to a customer, the extractor was broken. I couldn't find one anywhere, ended up making one using the reminder of the old one as a guide. I must have got it right as it worked and I put a number of rounds through it to be sure.

I had a 3 Bernadelli 22 pistols. One was a Target Pistol I bought from dist. in Florida who was liquidating them. The other 2 were similar to Walther PP they were both NIB. They had big Target grips on them. They must have been as result of 1968 import laws. I only shot one of the PP type. It functioned well but weren't no target gun. The full blown Target I sold to a guy that swears by it, compared to his Ruger MI Target.

Exactly one. Been fascinated by these ever since they came out. Finally saw one at a show a couple years ago. No box, only one mag, nice shape $799 as I recall. I passed and have been kicking myself ever since. They turn up on Gunbroker a few times a year. Mags run about $125. I want one but I hesitate to go down that rat hole.
