Smith use to make and sell shotguns. This would be a niche gun. For home protection and as a second LEO vehicle shotgun. Why a 10 ga? On the street, 10 ga isn't common. With a plastic/nylon stock, a recoil pad, it would present an impressive sight and an effective deterrent. The cowboy action shooting world would also present an area for sales. Historically, the 10 ga was the preferred coach gun in the 19th century.

I didnt know anyone even manufactured 10 gauge shotguns anymore.

I bet Ammo is hard to find. I have a 16 gauge and it's hard enough to find ammo for.

I like the idea of blackened and stainless...but I'd push for the old stand-by 12ga. Would be really nice if it had a ghost ring sight. Make it with screw-in chokes and I'd give it a try for turkeys.

IIRC Ithaca made a "Roadblocker" version of their semi auto Mag-10. I had a BPS 10 but being vertically challenged and short of limb, I had to push that forend waaaay out there to close the action from the shoulder. I'd vote for a SxS double. I don't think you can legally hunt with anything bigger than a 10Ga, but that doesn't rule out an 8Ga for anti-personnel use.

ya, they just keep on making 12 gauges longer. 3.5" now last I heard.
