Absent Comrade
Years ago in France, at a friend's house, I was offered a small glass of an aperitif called SUZE.
Have any of you ever tried it?
It is made from the blossoms of the Gentian plant and has a sweet, slightly bitter taste. I prefer it with ice, not as an every day gulp down drink, but sipped, just for something different.
It is relatively inexpensive when purchased in France, but about $35/750ml here. Found some at a California wine shop.
