Got a thing for falling blocks...quite like the Ruger No1, but prefer a stock with a cheekpiece

Sounds interesting. You can make that wish come true, but it will cost you!

My dream is at the gun smith now. It started with an old Remington #5 rolling block in 7mm Mauser. Took it to the smith and had him order a barrel from the Green Mt boys to chamber in 38-55. Took over two years for it to arrive. I'm a hoping that the gun will be ready by this fall for some whitetail hunting. Will certainly have over $1000 in it by the time its over and done with but it's my baby.

CDNN has some little 16" barrel saddle ring carbine new made Winchester 1885 high walls in 45/70 for a good price. That would be a great start!
Green Mountain makes 1:19 .50 cal blanks I believe. I am sure there are others.
