I've used the "Gold Dollars" to pay for anniversary dinners, bringing them into the restaurant in a sock in my wife's purse. I would collect a few every payday for this purpose.
I have a thing for $2 bills, the bank usually has some and I keep them in my wallet to confuse or delight people. My neighbor's grandkid lives with them, he asked if I had any work he could do. I told him to dig some weeds out of the curb and sidewalk, he knocked that out quickly, I gave him a $2 bill. He looked at me like I was pulling his leg because he's a smart kid, I told him it was legit...go ask grandpa, don't ask your mother. He came back and thanked me.
