No maker's mark on this Yaqui Slide holster, the belt is one I had. S.D. Myres cataloged a belt slide holster with the tag line "some like it very much". That's what a local Italian restaurant says about their Hawaiian pizza…in other words, many don't like it.

I'm a fan of Yaqui holsters, use them almost daily, but not that style. Loosen your belt and it's too easy to lose your gun.

For me, a belt is to hold your holster, not your gun.

If it's a Myres, indeed it is the only one I've ever seen outside of its catalog image. Thanks heaps :-). Yours matches the Myres belt very well, visually. I do believe these were crossdraw carry, perhaps even "Mexican Carry" as small of the back holsters; where the angled carry would be more plausible.

I hold this Myres catalog page as 1940, turnerriver has a more complete Myres catalog collection than I and will know best. Note it does say the panel is for crossdraw use. It's the original type today known as a 'slide' holster though since Hume's in the '60s they are made with two panels stitched together, for side carry.
