As I mentioned in my covid club thread (and as hsguy told me I need to get working on), with just three weeks until we arrive in Houston again I have lists of lists that need completing. A week of being sick with Covid, Karen in hospital and having travel plans to Auckland next week confirmed and cancelled has not exactly helped.
So:.....
All the tickets have been booked online, printed out and set in a binder, along with travel insurance, CPB declarations, rental car agreement and "almost" everything else. I just need to print our itinerary and set it in the binder, but as things are added to it each few days that can wait.
I have just about finished all of the YouTube videos I listed to watch of those places we are going, just to squeeze every last experience out of our trip. The Tupelo one was a real eye opener the other night.
The "admin" list has been completed. A months worth of dog food ordered, a few things we "need" but can't find right now have been repurchased, all of our meds have been ordered (Dr's prescriptions obtained and pharmacy advised to blister pack five weeks worth for each of us) and the last few CD's (that I had been "unable" to find for weeks) have been reloaded into my phone after losing most of the music in a computer snafu. The only thing left to do is organise someone to get our lawns (I have been unable to cut them due to weather, illness and other commitments for most of the winter) under control and mowed while we are away.
Karen has made her appointments to get her hair etc done next week, and my 6 monthly podiatrist appointment booked.
Early next week the suitcases come down and start getting packed. I have a list of what I am taking (Karen will just "wing it") siting beside me as I type this. At the same time our carry-on bags will start to be packed with all those items we will need.
The time is moving so fast, we'll be back before we know it.
