I hate the "what's it worth" posts. But I need a little help with this one. Belongs to a friend who is selling it for a close friends estate. I believe it is a 44DA. SN 42xxx. Obvious renickle with crisp lettering except for the logo. Firing pin broke but he reports it functions fine otherwise. They had a historical letter but can not find it. And of course it belonged to a Texas Ranger like every other old Colt and SW. I wouldn't mind having it but have no idea what to offer. Based on the limited info what is the opinion of a fair price considering the issues.

Thanks!!

On GB it would go $1000/$2000 aside from the firing pin

Somebody really leaned into that one on the buffing wheel. I think a grand is optimistic, but on GB it could easily go higher than that.

I had a fully functional model 3 a while ago with a cylinder modified for 44 russian and a worse refinish than this one. Several folks here said it was only good as a parts gun.it sold in 8 hours on Guns International for $1000...this gun is easily worth that...how much more you choose to offer is up to you.
