A little over 10 years ago a long time friend lost her husband and about a month later she was terrorized by two men who banged on the walls and doors of her home after ripping the phone lines off the side of the house....she only told me after she didn't want to go home at the end of the work day. I took her to a pit with a couple of .22s and a nickle model 38-1.....after going over safety and basic instructions on loading etc she shot both calibers and she surprised me with how fast she learned and she was some good too. "Phil" (Phyllis) went home armed and confident in her abilities. We shot 22s occaionally over the next couple of years. Well she has had a great guy in her life for a few years and despite a job change for me we talk quite often.....and yesterday she asked me to stop by her office. After a little chit chat she hands me the pouch with the 38-1 in it! I want you to have this back as I have not shot it in years as the kick is not fun....but I will never not have my little Beretta with me 24/7....we both shed a tear over Tom's passing....I was first on scene and tried CPR to no avail....a big hug and I left with an "old friend"....I will post pictures this weekend......
