My small Smith and Wesson collection is slowly comming together, My latest addition, Traded a Taurus for it is this beautiful model 64-3 Made 1981. It go's real good with my Model 60. Need to do a little work on grips but all in all I am satisfied with the trade.:)

"Traded a Taurus for it.. " that's never a mistake!

Two stainless 38spls are always a pair to draw to.

Trading a Taurus for any S&W is a smart move. Now you need 2 more stainless S&Ws, an L-frame (686) and an N-frame (627). I have a fondness for the 64. It was the first gun I was issued when I signed on as a Dept. of Defense Police Officer (now Dept. of the Army Police).

I said it before, I will say it again. No person moderately trained in the use of handguns should ever feel undergunned with a Model 64. In the age of self loading wonderguns, a Model 64 (M10, etc) is an excellent defensive firearm that is safe, easy to learn and utterly reliable....and with good ammo, capable of stopping virtually any 2 legged threat.
With them running less than 300 buck on the used market, everyone should own at least one...
