Decided to post this pair here even though one is a little newer.
They both are wearing cokes, and are very nice.

The 44 magnum 4 screw in the foreground is a lettered 1958
5 inch that shipped to H.H.Harris March of 1958.

The model 29-2 in the back is a lettered 5 inch that shipped to
H.H.Harris June of 1963.

These are part of an estate, I have no other information about them at this time.

Beautiful...and in a shooter's barrel length...good inter-sight distance for better accuracy...add'l velocity, and not so long as to poke you in the short ribs when mounted up in any modern conveyance. Too rare to be carried, no doubt, but what a find and a hint to S&W that they'd be good candidates for a bring back 'classic' offering. Rod

Nothing like having $10k with 2 guns in your collection! I think I remember seeing last year a border patrol 29-2 or maybe it was a DHS gun going for 6k on gunbroker.

Would love to find a 5" 29, I love my 629 DX 5" dearly.

5 Inch 44 magnums

For those asking they are not mine, I am helping with the estate.

No plans yet to sell, but I see them going to the Tulsa show in April.

Five-inch barrels in any frame size, just seem to balance better.
I'll open with a pair of .44's. Granted, they are from opposite ends of the century (1908 TL & 1990 629-3).

And,,, I'll raise you a third. Maybe not an Ace since it is only a 4 screw M27. My only "birth-year" revolver (for now ;))
