IS it me or is 9mm brass cased range ammo (30 cents a round and under) drying up. I've noticed very little of the brass cased non SD ammo showing up at my local Academy. Even the steel stuff is getting hard to find. Maybe since its getting warmer more are out at the range these days.

I have heard some talk of what you mention on the 9mm bullets but I haven't bought any in the last week or two. On Mon, Wed, and Friday (when they get trucks) around here I can go to Academy at opening time and find 9mm in Winchester and Remington. The 9mm seems to dissappear soon after all the .22 ammo disappears. Guys are waiting to purchase and there is still lines at the door. I forgot, just last week I picked up 2-50 rd. boxes of WW 115 gr. FMJ 9mm at Walmart in the middle of the day so it is still out there.

I see 9mm on the shelves all the time. Lots of it (for around $20 per box of 50 115gr. FMJ)

It's cheaper to reload 9mm, these days. I can reload with 115gr. lead RN (from Missouri Bullet Company) for around 11-cents each. Not figuring in my time, of course.

I was wondering as the supply of 9mm especially brass cased non SD ammo has been rather sparse in my area.Calibers such as 357 and 38 special are also scarce.

I visited a couple stores today, locally here, and they had 9mm brass cased for right at $0.30 a round. (Winchester White Box)

Tons of it here in MN now, much more than 3-4 months ago. Gander mountain had a short pallet load of 350 ct Blazer brass at $99.99, and they still have about 20 boxes 3 weeks later. Also UMC 250 pks at $69.99. Cabela's has a lot of 50 ct Blazer at $13.99 and Fed American Eagle at $14.99. Could have bought 3 Federal 100 pks at Walmart for $26.77 apiece last week. Only got one, since I'm pretty stocked up.

I haven't bought any 9mm ammo for over two years now. I too reload, and as long as I have powder/primers I'm good. I have about 3500 115gr RN bullets and my primer supply just went to 8000+ this week. Now my powder supply......

I haven't been obsessivly searching , but recently have seen lots of .380 and .40 , moderate .45acp , and no 9mm. Nor .38 or .357 .

walmart was well stocked with 9mm yesterday. i bought a 100 rd "can"($23.47) of tullammo brass max to try in my shield. they had about 10 of those. they also had 7 or 8 federal 100 round($25.47) packs and 15 50 round boxes($14.47). there was 4 boxes of winchester 100 rounds($25.97) and 8 or 9 of the 50 round boxes.

.40S&W was just as plentiful, if not more so.

i just bought the shield and it is my only 9mm. before my trip to walmart yesterday, i had only tried tullammo steel cases, winchester, and magtech in it so i didn't want to go overboard and buy lots of something that it does not shoot well. i did try some federal yesterday and it has been added to the good list.

I was in Cabela's yesterday and they had a big display by the front doors in addition to the normal location. Plenty of brass 9mm in Ohio.

This.

Recently cranked up the Dillon and made 500 rounds of 9mm 124 grain FMJ and 500 rounds of .380 Auto 95 grain FMJ.

I have been loading and shooting all thru this latest panic.

About to run out of 231 however..... :(

Reload em

I reload my .223 ,9mm ,40cal, and 357sig have plenty of powder, bullets, primers and brass. Cost isn't the reason I load, just the satisfaction of having ammo when I want it.
Enjoy doing it too. I have been using more rounds at the range since I don't have to worry about running out. Now if I can figure a way to load 22's

Mail order using gunbot to find which merchants have what you desire. Gunbot will also inform you re: possible storefront inventory from places like Gander Mt., Cabela's, and Bass Pro. BTW, I saw 9mm in abundance at a nearby Gander Mt.. It was Blazer Brass and Federal AE. Price was 16$ish, not bad.

I don't even look at local stores anymore, but at FreedomMunitions I can get 9mm for .25/round for new brass and about .23/round for reman.

Well a boat load of ammo came in yesterday except for 22lr. The elusive 380 made an appearence along with value packs of Remington and Winchester 9mm. The 9mm WWB 100 count runs $26.99 and the Remington 100 count was $27.99.

How did a discussion about factory ammo turn into how much reloaders are making and using...this has nothing to do about the OP's question

One thing I do know is you can't reload if you don't have any powder a product that I cannot find a single grain of especially VV340 and VV320.

9mm is pretty common in my area. The local gun shop has plenty if 9mm so does walmart I picked up 2 100rnd boxes of white box Remington fmj for 25.99 a box today they had even more .40
