In this episode of "The Virginian" a guy uses a Schofield and it gets a ton of screen time as you can see here. This was 1969 and I wonder if it's the same gun used in "Nevada Smith" by Steve McQueen or the main guy in "Alias Smith & Jones". Many guns were rentals from places like Stembridge.

I like watching the old movies and early tv shows for the old actors and old firearms. Long before the replica industry started the only firearms they used were originals or variations of originals (trapdoors fixed up to resemble a flintlock).

Arthur Hunnicutt with a Colt revolving rifle or shotgun was always a favorite.

Robert Culp carried a S&W in Trackdown. Don't know if it was a Schofield or an American

I read somewhere that it was a third model Russian - his personal gun.

Hey, how y'all watch that video? I get a notice that it's been blocked in my country on copyright grounds.

Ain't y'all also in the US of A?

Robert Culp was a shooter and gun owner. And a great gun spinner with a Colt. His Trackdown gun was a New Model 3 with an extended hammer spur. I’n sure this was his personal gun because he used it again in Hannie Caulder with Raquel Weich.
