A story of love that breaks my heart

I'm drawn to these posts, as I've had my share of loses and have posted my own here.

This post has touched me more deeply than any, I've been at a lose for words to respond.

You and your wife have my deepest condolences.

We all have that best dog ever, new dogs come and get close but are not quite the same, because we are not quite the same. Sounds like you had a lot of good times to be thankful for. God bless!

I had a beastie rescue that we had for five years, she could be irritable and cranky, but loved us. It broke my heart when we put her down last month. But I can't imagine not having them, even though it hurts so bad.

My best to you my friend...

In late February two years ago my Black Lab, Bruno had trouble breathing, after lab test's, Xrays and sonic test's I find out he had a large tumor in his chest. Was not something that could be removed with out killing him.
In constant pain breathing.
One week later I had to have him put down.

Now, my my Vizsla, Daisy had to go after all the same tests, extreme kidney failure and a tumor.....
I stayed with them to the end......
My wife takes this hard, but like I have posted for others who go through this:

So sorry for your loss. Losing a loving pet is as close to losing a family member as one can get. Dogs give you unconditional love and don't really expect much in return. If people were like dogs, this world would be a better place.

As a dog lover, I have been down this road many times and it never gets any easier. I keep bringing new pups into the family and it helps lessen the loss of an old friend. It is a shame that the lifespan of a dog is so short as a dog lover will feel this pain multiple times during their life.

Take comfort in the fact that they are waiting for you to arrive with tails wagging and ready to play again.

So sad for you now. Losing both your best friends so close together must have been heart wrenching. Your description of King Edward and Mary Ann and their relationship and how much you loved them has me in a blue funk now as I remember some of the good friends I've had to say good bye to.

I pray for your peace of mind and acceptance and hope you can concentrate on all the years of happy memories and good time you all have had together. As they say, "grief is the price we pay for loving." It's awful no doubt about it but still well worth it. I feel sorry for those that don't know that joy.

God bless...........

Thank you for your kind words and prayers. You are the finest group of folks anywhere. God bless you all.

My Son had to have his Shepard put down today. He's 54 and its the first time I've heard him cry since he was 10+-.
