Not safe queen, but a respectable using 29-2 #S315954 Shipped July 1969. Considering the S prefix ended about S330000 this one is one of the last of the S guns.

Just for giggles I included the Bryan Adams video "Summer of 69". I am so freaking tired of winter.

Where were you in the summer of 1969?:)

Nice. I would love to find a good old 29. I hear you on the winter piece. Bring on the BBQ weather!

I just graduated high school in '69 and bought my first 29-2 with the long barrel in '71. i feel your pain trudging through snow to set targets up in my driveway to target shoot all winter. by the way, nice 29.

There ya go bud! Nice addition to the Brier family.:D

You are getting a lot better on the pics too. I don't know where you got the idea to start taking them outside, but whoever told you that is a wise man.

1969?- We were moving into the house where my dad lived, right up to the end.

If I don't go shooting soon, I'm going to start lighting off rounds in the basement....

I'll bet that old 29 is a great shooter.

Great looking M29......if they could only talk.

In '69 I started the 2nd grade in South Texas. We left the next year for Ft. Worth and I stayed there till '94.

We are almost cousins or something . My 29-2 S model is a 67 near as I can tell . Has never been in a safe , and since spring has sprung in Idaho the land of Elmer Keith , I have been out about every other day shooting ground griz since , well around ground hog day .

Curtis,

Congratulations as that is a beautirful addition to the family and goes great with the other pre 29 siblings so they should all get along.

Beautiful gun, I'm jealous!
But I'm also a 357 guy. A bit off topic, speaking of July of 69 maybe I can get you jealous. This Baby is not restored and not a trailer queen, a 427 Corvette purchased July 1969...

That's a great looking 29-2 you found there - congratulations! I have a couple just like it within a few numbers of yours either way. They are among my favorites. Warm weather IS coming! :)

Nice Vette

Wanna trade???:D

Thanks 29aholic

One moment the whistle pigs are catching some rays and in less than a twinkling of an eye they are in whistle pig heaven being reunited with whistle pig grandpa . They do not suffer . I only take animals with the most humane equipment I can carry.
