I am no longer looking at weapon lights for my TRR8 or M&P R8; and, I am no longer looking for a custom holster that can accommodate a weapon light.
Purchased the Surefire 2211x and it works with all of my revolvers and Glocks. As revolutionary a firearm accessory as I've discovered since first qualifying with an M-16 in the active USAF in 1978 and a 1911 in the Florida NG in 1982 because, "the 2211X’s light is perfectly aligned toward the target when the wearer is holding a pistol with a two-handed grip." Maybe everybody knew about this but me.
First Look: SureFire 2211X Wrist Light - Guns & Ammo "The new 2211X Wrist Light features a rugged, dual-output 300-lumen LED paired with SureFire’s proprietary faceted reflector for a wide, evenly dispersed beam. The wrist light runs on a single disposable 123A lithium battery and has a run time of 1.5 hours on high (300 Lumen) and 13 hours on its 15-lumen low setting. Designed to be worn on the support hand, the 2211X’s light is perfectly aligned toward the target when the wearer is holding a pistol with a two-handed grip."
Manufacturer's site: SureFire 2211X WristLight
Also comes in a USB rechargeable version and a built-in watch version that are both quite a bit more expensive. Of course there are many more uses for the light than low-light shooting. I'll wear it my whole duty shift I would guess.
