Hey All,
Minor gripe here, in the scheme of things!
I bought some new A-Zoom snap caps in 357 magnum and inserted them into my 66 snub today. The trigger pull was outrageously hard, as the snap caps were binding... hmmmmm?

I ejected the snap caps and discovered that 4 out of 6 had large plastic "burrs" on them, which protruded enough to prevent easy rotation of the cylinder.
It only took 3 minutes to trim them down with my knife, but....

Been using Snap Caps for several decades and never had such a bad batch. Quality Control ain't what it used to be, in most areas of our lives.
Wait, am I a grumpy old revolver guy now? (Always been a revolver guy, just now... I'm old)

That's A Zoom's practice for Magtech cartridges with high primers.
:p

Actually sorry to read that. My impression had been that an advantage of using their stuff was the quality. I bought some .38 Spl A-Zoom cartridges maybe 3 years ago and to the best of my recollection the rubber (or resiliant plastic) in the primer cups were OK. I wonder if something has changed in their manufacturing.IMG_9666-cr-A-zoom-38spl.jpg
That said, I find the fit into the chamber rather loose and the rims on the thin side. As a result I've been buying more conventional dummy rounds.

One of the places I bought from also had high rubber in the primer cups. The dummies from that place (fakebullets.com) also had poor crimping on their 30-06 which caused easy bullet pull out when cycling. :(
So far I've had the best luck recently with dummies from 'GregerDave' on ebay.
