You can try it but risk destroying your rifle.

From my understanding, he didn't modify the rifle at all. It was only friction fit but he said it didn't move. I would say PM him but he hasn't been on in a year.

Replace the buffer tube with the proper A2 tube, put on the stock. I've never done it on an S&W, but I have on a DPMS. AR-15 Standard A2 Buttstock Assembly Kit-Black
