With deep regret, I must inform you that we have lost Franklin Allen Latimer, known here as Art Doc, formerly known here as SaxonPig to pancreatic cancer.

I hate to hear it. Frank and I butted heads sometimes, but I can't imagine him gone forever.
My sincere condolences to his widow, family, and friends. May God comfort them.

Don't call him Pig!

Very sorry to hear this. Reminds me of his line "no life has a happy ending" So true but hopefully his life had a lot of happiness. I didn't always agree with his strong opinions but I always enjoyed reading them.

He and I met up when he visited Phoenix years back. IIRC, we even went to the old private range I was a member of, long ago closed-down. Very nice guy, for sure.
