Looking for some opinions guys. What would you think would yield you better accuracy. A Geissele SSA-E trigger or a free float hand guard? I want to use a QD bi pod from time to time so minimum is a Magpul MOE hand guard and a 2" rail mounted on it or would a free floated hand guard yield better accuracy with the factory trigger. Price is about the same ($220.00 or so). Just don't know if I wanna drop another $450.00-$550.00 on this rifle. I already have the SSA-E sitting in front of me..

I go with the trigger. Nothing worse then a crappy trigger to distract from a good shot.

What kind of accuracy are you getting now? Are the factory handguards causing a shift in POA? Does the factory trigger hinder your shots?

Not that a FF tube and a G trigger are bad upgrades, but you may not see much, if any, improvement in accuracy after their installation

I haven't even shot this rifle yet. I usually change out factory triggers unless they are KAC. I have always shot better with a good/great trigger. I'm just not sure if FF hand guards are worth the cost of admission if you don't need the rail space.

What you have out of the box will let you see if the barrel is any good. I have a much older AR-15 That is fantastic out of the box! No the trigger isn't fantastic, but a better trigger won't make this gun shoot any better! Buy a good cleaning guide and coated rod! And keep the copper fouling out of the barrel (separate cleaning process from powder fouling!). Buy or make quality ammo, Junk ammo produces poor groups. However I bought a few thousand rounds of a Winchester promotional 223 in the 90's that shot fantastic groups out of all my 223's and my friends 223's (both in AR's and bolt guns!) I'm down to about 600 rounds and can't find it anymore.

I put a Midwest Ind 12" SS handguard on mine. Took a low profile gas block also. It let's you get a bipod further out so motion at the barrel end is minimized. Got 1/2" MOA after putting it together properly.

The trigger pull is long as hell, but it's not gritty. It will be the next upgrade.
