Accuracy improvement from free floating barrel?

Did you notice any particular difference? I did that before I put the muzzle brake on mine but didn't notice any particular increase in accuracy. SIght was a 3-9x32 scope completely on the upper - nothing on the quad rail.

Just wondering. At what distance are you shooting and getting best group at ?

That is likely possible especially if you rest the handguard on the rest because that will pressure it upward without the cap on the front. That would pressure the barrel nut area. Try buying a 6" x.5" riser and bolt it across the upper receiver gap so that it locks the upper and the handguard together. My shooting has shown this will tighten up the groups from shooting the stock configuration. Just not as much as replacing the handguard with a metal one. Combining the 2 gives the best groups. Adding the SIMS Lab Barrel De-resonator and tuning its position will tighten them up even more. But it will never be a precision BR .22LR.
