Emotion is what the gun-grabbers prey on. That's why they always try to force new laws down our throats after something happens. Strike while the iron is hot and people are thinking emotionally and not logically.

We had a rash of copycat /crank calls here in the Days after Tenn.

One at Central Catholic HS; had the U of Pitt on lockdown; where my youngest is now in his last month! Long couple of hours!!

As long as school shootings are framed as a gun issue and the mental health aspect continues to be ignored, the problem will continue. Of course it's much easier to blame the gun than it is to say we have not lived up to our responsibilities as a community when it comes to deviant behavior in our children. Until we all demand that our representatives and government systems, especially education systems, go beyond wokeness and really deal with the problem, it is never going to improve.

I'm glad everything ended up ok and sincerely hope that you work through this but the take away is that internet forums are probably not the best place to go with your "gut feelings".
