Sigh.... another one gone :(

Story here.

LOS ANGELES (AP)–Alan Arkin, the wry character actor who demonstrated his versatility in everything from farcical comedy to chilling drama as he received four Academy Award nominations and won an Oscar in 2007 for "Little Miss Sunshine," has died. He was 89.

...More than 40 years separated his first Oscar nomination, for "The Russians are Coming," from his nomination for playing a conniving Hollywood producer in the Oscar-winning "Argo."...

...Arkin once joked to The Associated Press that the beauty of being a character actor was not having to take his clothes off for a role..

The enemy is anybody who is going to get you killed, no matter which side he is on....

Insanity is contagious...

He was going to live forever, or die in the attempt...

Yossarian, RIP Alan.

Ah, Catch 22. As fine a movie as ever was.

He was a great actor, so talented, RIP…

a true treasure is lost... his portrayal of a homicidal heroin dealer opposite Audrey Hepburn in Wait Until Dark can only be watched during daylight hours.. still gives me goosebumps..
RIP Alan.

A great movie! I watched it as a teenager. Several scenes had me jump from my seat.

He was wonderful in Disney's Rocketeer and also hilarious in The Last Of The Red Hot Lovers. He was a fish inspector who was constantly smelling his finger.
RIP Mr. Arkin

Nobody mentioned Little Miss Sunshine.

A great movie that flew under the mainstream movie crowd.

If you haven't seen it and have a good sense of humor you won't be disappointed.

RIP Sir.
