Box-1 SOLD This box is for an early (circa 1973) S&W Model 66 Combat Magnum revolver with a 4” barrel. Imprinted on one end of the box top with blue lettering and silver border is, “Smith & Wesson, .357 Combat Magnum, Stainless Steel, Model 66, 4-inch barrel.” The dimensions are 11” x 5” x 1-3/4”. This box is in excellent used condition, all corners are sound, includes S&W’s gun wrap paper. The original label (detached) is included with this box (label marked Model 66, ser. 4K10824). A new blank repro label is included.

Box-2 SOLD This box (circa 1978-1980) is for an S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman with a 4” barrel. Imprinted on one end of the box top in silver lettering is, “Smith & Wesson, Highway Patrolman, Blue Finish, Model 28. The dimensions are 11” x 5” x 1-3/4”. This box is in very good used condition. All corners are sound, but one end of the bottom half of the box has been repaired (see photo). Repair is sound and box is fully functional. Includes a piece of S&W’s gun wrap paper. The original paper end label (detached) is included with this box (marked Model 28-2, ser. N542031). A new blank repro label is included.

Box-3 SOLD (unmarked) This is an unmarked factory original two-piece blue shipping box for an N-frame revolver with a 4” or 5” barrel with Target Stocks. Unmarked boxes like this one were most commonly used by the factory for N-frame revolvers (mostly Models 25, 27, 29, 57, 629, etc.) when shipped together with an empty wood presentation case inside a single shipping carton. The unmarked boxes are identical in every respect to the marked S&W blue box, except for the absence of the markings themselves. The dimensions are 12” x 5-1/4” x 2”. This is the correct size box for an N-frame revolver with a 4” or 5” barrel and target stocks. This box is in excellent used condition, all corners are sound. Includes S&W’s gun wrap paper. The original label (detached) is included with this box (label marked Model 27-2 4” Nickel ser. N833403). A new blank repro label is included.

PC-1 SOLD S&W Mahogany Presentation Case, circa 1974-1978, with original plastic top and bottom interior inserts shaped for the S&W N-frame revolver with a 4 inch barrel. The wood box is structurally sound and in very good used condition, minor scratches on the exterior from storage and handling, interior shows signs of use (some minor discoloration) but is fully functional with no significant cracking. All of the latches and hinges are original and in proper working order. No tools shown or included.

PC-2 SOLD S&W Mahogany Presentation Case, circa 1974-1978., with non-original top and bottom interior inserts sized for the S&W N-frame revolver with a 6-1/2” inch barrel (i.e. Models 24, 27, 29). The wood box is structurally sound and in very good used condition, with few (if any) minor scratches on the exterior from storage and handling. There is a very light but visable round water mark on the top of the lid (see photo). All of the latches and hinges are original and in proper working order. The bottom insert is made of Styrofoam and is contoured on the surface to the shape of the 6-1/2” N Frame. The top insert is made of foam rubber. Both inserts are covered in blue velvet. The tools rest in contours on the top of the insert. They are held in place by small brads that can be seen if you look closely at the photos. Obviously, these inserts are not as nice as the originals, but they are fully functional and look good for display purposes. Cleaning tools shown are included, the Model 24-3 is not.
