For the last threee years I have been towing my Harley Super Glide behind our 24' Class C on a small Kendon single folding trailer {averaging 9K miles a year}. This has enabled us to ride some of the most amazing, beautiful roads in the west and yet enjoy all of the comforts of home in our coach.

A few months ago I replaced the Harley with a new 2017 Indian Springfield and after just one trip realized that I needed more trailer for the new 862# Torque Monster Springfield. I had been lusting after a nice cargo trailer for a while and after some serious searching made a deal on this little gem:

It is a Pace American Outrback, 6 X 10' {14" ov erall} with a GVWR of 2,990#. I spent a week doing some mods - painted the interior 3 coats with exterior semi gloss, installed E Track utilizing their joist hangers to install two, 2 X 6's across the front of the trailer adding a .75" plywood shelf {66" X 21"} to the upper and utilizing the lower to secure heavier gear {BBQ, compressor, firepit, LP cylinder etc}.

I put two 4' sections of E Track in the middle of the trailer to secure the bike, added the front wheel chock and bolted the new spare tire to the right rear wall. A coat rack and a couple of tap lights and I am good to go.

Took the rig up to the white Mountains last week for a 4 day shakedown trip and to get in some fine riding and everything worked well. Loading could not be simpler or more secure and the V-10 easily handled the extra weight tracking and riding better than ever. The trailer weighs 1,360, the bike 862 and with the extra gear relocated from the motorhome back to the trailer the total was 2,460# {the RV is rated to tow 5,000}. Total weight of both coach and trailer fully loaded for our trip came in at 13,808 - GCWR for the coach is 18,500}.

Looking forward to many more trips and now my new beast has a permanent home on the road, out of the weather and the prying eyes of the bad guys.

Added some art work...

I finally got around to adding 3 nice Indian decals to the trailer. The Silver Metal Flake worked well over the black aluminum. Put matching headdress' on either side with the round Indian Logo on the rear door/ramp:

Also added Air Lift airbags to the motorhome to smooth out the ride. The improvement is awesome. Won't be using the trailer next week though. I have a 1,500-mile ride {roundtrip} planned up to my best friends house in Angel Fire NM. That will have to include another ride out to the Viet Nam Memorial and a trip to Shotgun Willies in Red River for the Brisket breakfast burrito smothered in Hatch green chile sauce.

Life is good.

I little word of advice, spend a few bucks and install a Condor wheel chock in the trailer for the bike. You will not regret it. I have one in my Harley hauler and it makes one man loading and strapping down 100 times easier.

Got a chock...

You can't see it in the pics but I have a through-bolted wheel chock. The 4 ratcheting tie downs, attached to the E-Tracks, pull the bike forward into the chock. Once I tighten everything up the bike is very secure.
