Found a NIB unfired 15-3 this week so I added it to the collection. Not sure what these go for so I may have overpaid....maybe not. I gave $480 for it but hey, I wanted it.

You may have paid a little too much but is yours now enjoy

A gun is worth exactly what someone will pay for it. So what if your in it for $30 or $50 bucks more than you see it on Gunbroker for?
That's a real looker. A classic. Congratz!

Beautiful! I dont think at all you paid too much, when was the last time anyone has seen what a new S&W goes for, and they sure are not made like that. You did great in my book!

Nice. If you want it, you got a good deal. I think you did. Hey a good deal is a frame of mind.

If...IF...Smith and Wesson made those today, it would MSRP for $700 or some such rediculous amount...and...it would have that nasty looking lock.

I say you did good!

What a beauty! Back in December I gave $360 for a 15-3 with box and papers, but she had definitely been fired. She shoots real fine, and has that sweet trigger the 15's are known for. I'd say you did just fine for an unfired example. If S&W made them today - and they should include the M15 in their classics line - I bet they would go for a cool grand.

I passed one up at $400. Saw it sell at a gun show a week later for $600.

If you like it, it's worth it.

I found a new in the box 15 also and he had a model 67 the two are new in box I like the 15 but the 67 wont rust I dont know which to get the 67 is 435 and the 15 was 485
