I recently sold a rifle I haven't used in quite some time and turned the money from that into a nice little Smith. I am very happy with how it worked out... The rifle I had wasn't worth a ton of money and I decided I wanted to get a small frame carry revolver. Since I didn't think my rifle was worth much, I was..dare I say it... considering a Taurus or Charter Arms small frame revolver..

Long story short, I got some great advice from my dealer and put the rifle on GB and tripled my money on it.. Enough to pay for this little guy he had under the glass! :) Happy happy happy is me!

It's an M36-7. I think it's..well...for lack of a better term.... cute. All my other wheelguns are K, L, and N frames. I can't believe how light and easy this thing carries in a high ride, belt slot pancake! I can see myself forgetting it's there being I am so used to carrying the larger models. This thing fits in the palm of my hand! LOL!

Careful, Buddy. You're playing with fire. J-Frames should come with a warning 'Highly Addictive'.
You suddenly realize that you need a hammerless model, then a .357, then a shrouded hammer, then the same again in stainless, then in an airweight. Then one for the car, a carry gun, one for the bedroom.
Run while you still can. If you stay, you're competing with those of us who are already beyond saving. You'll drive prices up and have no friends. RUN!!

FloridaFlier: This is unfortunate news... See, I am a VERY addiction-prone person.. I have more than one.

Aside from my S&W addiction, I have an addiction to vintage 3-wheeled ATV's..particularly Hondas, but most any brand will do.

I have a pair of 1985 ATC250r's, one with an aftermarket big bore kit and all the supporting goodies.. it sets you hair on fire when you squeeze the happy lever. Have another '85 ATC250r that's mostly stock that I rebuilt from the bare frame over this past winter. Then there's my '84 Big Red, and lastly an '85 ATC110. And to top it all off, we have 3 other 4 wheeled ATV's and a dirt bike. And it's just me, my wife and my 2 kids! LOL! When I get into a thing, I have this tendancy to obsess and find a way to acquire way more than I need of it! Ask my wife. ;)

I can see this J-frame thing getting out of hand pretty easily too... ;)

Very nice! But be careful..you are on a very slippery slope!! I started with N frames and K frames lots of them...I know have 3 K frames left no N frames and I don't know how many J frames...lets just say they are like rabbits. Almost all mine are pre lock and most are pre model number but no matter...the little J frame is an additive little cuss! This is a little sample of what could be coming. The K frame is sold...

the only problem that i have had with the j-frames is that when you get one you end up getting more. before long you will start looking for a second one, then third one, etc.... and so on.

Welcome to the J Club. Just stay away from the 3" guns. They will suck you in deep then change to N frame 3" bugs and on to K frame 3" bugs. There's no end. Love it.

Well, I got a chance to put some rounds through the little 36 the other day.

I was firing some of my first handloads, Nosler 125gr JHP over 5.2 gr of Unique....

At about 20', I was able to consistently shoot groups the size of a softball or a little smaller. I am quite satisfied with it. :)

My sister-in-law gave it a whirl today with those same rounds and was shooting groups half that size at the same distance! She has a steady hand and good form.

Single action in both cases.

Very happy with the addition of this little Mini-Smitty! :D

My first Smith was a 31-1 3".
Always wanted a Centennial and a Chief's Special.
Got a Chief now, to go with the 31-1.
Need a Centennial.
I love my Js, Ks, and L.
Need an N, now.
