I have the Sigma Series 9mm and just would like some input from others out there. What material type do you prefer for conceal carry for your S&W? I have family members that have other brand full frame pistols and love nylon conceal holsters and love them, others have leather conceal holsters, and as of late have brands like Alien Gear. I was thinking to get a nice nylon conceal holster? Whats your advice on this? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
I think holsters are like shoes. The ones that fit you may just hurt my feet. This is why most of us end up with a drawer full of holsters, trying to find the one that is just right.
As far as material goes I prefer leather because I have always loved the feel and smell of nice leather products.

I have two nylon holsters but they turned me off. They were too loose and moved around too much. I much prefer leather but the quality of the leather and the holster is paramount. I have a few of man made material but I stray from leather only when a leather holster is not available for a given application.

Buy the highest quality leather holster you can afford. It will pay you many times over.
For many of us this means Milt Sparks, Alessi, Mitch Rosen, Kramer to name a few.
Also be sure to invest in a very sturdy belt for it to ride on. If you can fold it in half vertically it is NOT sturdy enough.

If God wanted us to carry our guns in nylon or kydex He would not have made so many cows and horses. Good leather is the only way to carry.
