The 2018 Goldwings showed up as the next major redesign of Honda's flagship motorcycle, last reworked in 2001.

The new Wing design looks well thought out, with upgrades everywhere. My favorite change is the double wishbone front suspension. Something that might appeal to some riders is an automatic transmission option.

Y'all keep the shiny side up. :D

Looks to be a six. I remember when they first came out. I was keen on buying one because of the flat four. The one I was looking at didn't have a fairing, bags or any plastic. The story is Honda was the first to market the flat four and BMW had to scrap their new engine design. I guess they didn't want to look like they copied Honda's design. Honda had a winner from day one. Nice bike.

I have never been a fan of full dress tourers, but this one looks mighty appealing, especially the version without the travel trunk. I’ll probably just keep riding my old boxers and dual-sports, though.

For someone who lives as far north as you do, a luxury riding environment starts with a full heated riding suit.

Nice ride. But I'm stuck in the 1970's. Here's my 1976 Goldwing, quite a change over the years.

Yeah, that's the one that had me all twisted up. I bought an R-100 instead. Hardest decision I ever made.

I have been riding Goldwings for many years. Reducing the gas tank capacity by a gallon is not good news. Reducing the overall volume of the bags and tour pack is terrible news. Moving the saddle slightly forward, resulting in an even more sport riding position than the current 1800 is just a bad idea. A beautiful machine, yes, but not what makes a great touring bike.

Yea, the fuel tank is now only 5.5 gallons (according to what I read on the .net). That's weird.
Honda claims a whopping 20 increase in fuel efficiency with the new design, resulting in unchanged range from the previous design.

Less pleased by the 40 liter drop in cargo capacity from the previous design. Means I'd have to use a trunk lid cargo carrier for the first time, instead of all cargo carried internal.

The first wings...

Sweet ride. I like bare bikes for myself also, but hubby gets new Wings to keep me happy in back. :D

I remember they promoted them by putting a nickel on the gas cap and reeving it up-the nickel stayed put. I kind'a like the new Yamaha Venture trans continental luxo tour-with a separate reverse motor-and it's an air cooled V-Twin!

It looks better than the last ones, but for $23,500? I'm almost glad I can't ride with my bad arm because I would go into debt trying to own one. But I remember the 1981 Gold Wing when I was a kid that my stepfather owned. I didn't like him, but I loved that bike. I liked that slimmed down and trimmed down style. He traded that in on a '86 Gold Wing, I didn't like riding that bike, too much compared to the '81.

Very nice! Maybe too swanky?
I like the new adjustable windscreen and the slightly sport tour-ish position. Wings corner exceptionally well (esp. for the weight/size) and this will likely improve agility. Like to try one and see!
Less fuel capacity, but same range? Should have increased the range a bit.

Well I do like the racy look. The first ones looked like a Sears Riding lawn mower. But I don't care for the automatic transmission. Just call me OLD SCHOOL. Something about the feel of up-shifting as you power through a gentle curve...even better if it's banked.
