Ahrends N-frame Round Butt grip: Tactical or Retro?

I want to try round butt Ahrends stocks on my 627 Pro, probably without finger grooves, and I was wondering what you would choose, the Tactical or Retro line? The only difference I could ascertain from their web page is the shape at the front of the grip, more squared off on the Tactical versus more rounded on the retro. Those of you that have tried both, any thoughts or opinions you'd care to share?

I've only tried the Tactical on a 625 Mtn Gun; think I'd like the Retro better. Don't find the Tac's really all that comfortable, and cannot tell if they help with control.

I like the Tactical ones without the finger grooves. The ones with grooves don't fit my fingers. Never tried the Retros.

Have not tried either, but like the Tactical smooths for looks. Might buy a set for my 625JM someday. Bob

I've only used the tacticals but they're great. They fit my hand like a glove and have only the wood you actually need. I love them.
