I came across this randomly the other night scrolling through my Netflix recommendations. Since I hadn't seen it for at least a decade, I decided to give it another run.
Harrison Ford as the President, and of course Gary Oldman, one of my favorite bad guys, as ... the bad guy.
You may remember that we used to refer to this affectionately as "that long HK MP5 commercial"
This being the 90s, the pistols were almost all SigSauers. Not a Glock in sight, correct for the time as the guns of the bad guys all came from the Secret Service stash.
Still pretty entertaining, although the aborted landing/take-off at Ramstein is still one of the silliest aviation scenes in a movie outside of "Airplane!"
