Albany police union letter to comrade cuomo

Excellent, it just lets you know that the Politicians have NO clue on what they want to put into Law for their own GAIN, not the common CITIZEN or LEO's either.

Of course liberal media will not embarrass democrats and their anti-gun agenda and they all want to put it under the rug!!!

I propose we all send "Thank you" to Cuomo to appreciate him for waking up all of us to defeat gun laws. His SAFE ACT and Obama's real anti-gun intention helped NRA more than anything else! Thank you, Mr. Cuomo!

I know what you mean, but I am loathe to thank Cuomo, Bloomberg, Biden, Obama, or any of the anti gunners for anything. People are suffering because of this idiocy in NY and other states. Their right to defend themselves has been trampled on, and their lives have been put in danger for a political agenda.

I hope you are working on a plan to move out of IL in the near future! I was trying to be ironic!

This is an outstanding letter but I fear it's going into the black hole of oblivion. It's going to get conveniently lost or misplaced. I have nothing against trying to reduce gun violence but it has to be done right and not haphazardly just to get something on the books, set a legacy for some politician or satisfy some egotist's agenda.

Obama will still claim that police support his proposals regardless of this letter or the poll of 15,000 police officers that showed they overwhelmingly did not support more gun control, or all the sheriffs that officially refused to enforce any of his new gun laws.

Just like all of us care about our children, all of us care about violence that people commit with guns or any other weapon (I refuse to use their "gun violence" term). The trouble with the anti gunners is they seem to care more about their anti gun agenda than they do about crime. They do not enforce the current laws, and they do not propose additional laws aimed at criminals. Instead, they propose more laws aimed at law abiding citizens and trample all over the 2A.

If their goal were truly to protect children and reduce violent crime, their goal would have been the same as ours, and perhaps we could have come to some sort of agreement working together towards those ends. We, and the NRA, are not against gun laws. We are against BAD gun laws that do nothing but harm law abiding citizens. And that is all they proposed. They lied, ignored facts, and appealed to emotion, and they will continue to do so. Their "common sense" proposals were devoid of common sense, and would have done nothing to prevent another tragedy such as Newtown. Instead, they used the tragedy and the emotion of the moment to try to advance the agenda they have had for decades. They thought they had the perfect storm. They were wrong, but these people are not going away. They will never go away.
