Thinking about giving this a go. Anyone used it? Results?
Reloading in .380APC, 9mm, .357 Mag, .44 Mag, 45 APC & soon to be .40 S&W. Looks to be a good all round powder.

Power Pistol is becoming one of my favorites. It's all I use for .40S&W these days. I like the fact that you can load way down for .40 Lite all the way to wrist twisters

I just tried a batch of .38 Special (4.9 PP)today and they're snappier than Unique for 158SWC loads and a lot cleaner. Speers shows that load at about 860fps. I use Speers #14 manual and they list PP for a bunch of calibers. Which only makes sense because Alliant, Speers, RCBS and Federal are all owned by the same corp.

It meters well and a little goes a long ways.

I've used some in a bunch of calibers. 9mm to 44mag. It is a fine powder, most Alliant powders are. Some are industry standards, that's for sure.

Power Pistol for a friend of mine proved to be too flashy for self defense loads for diminishing light scenarios.

It meters well and seems to be consistent enough.

One thing I don't like about the new Alliant data info though. There isn't any pressure information there. I would like to know what the projected data of the loads they listed were supposed to be. In the 40S&W I want the highest velocity with the least amount of pressure.

I bought it for use in .380 and use it in .45, .38 and .357. It's wonderful - very clean and gives great velocities at decent pressures. As Skip notes, it's a bit flashy in low light. Certainly one of my favorite powders.

One of the things I like about Hodgdon's data - they have always published pressure data in their various loading manuals since the days of Bruce Hodgdon. I talked to Bruce on many occasions and learned something every time I did.
HE was the reason they published the pressure data. It was obviously a THING with him. Good man! It is good to know that his sons and grandsons are carrying on the tradition.

Power Pistol is great in the full power loads I've used it in.....45acp, 38super, 380. (alliants 380 load from a 100gr is impressive, to say the least)

It performs well.

I like Power Pistol except for the excessive flash generated by it. I would rather use Longshot or HS-6 in it's place.

I have used it in my 9mm and .45 ACP revolvers. It is very forgiving and gives high velocity but as others have said the flash is quite noticeable in low light. Most important to me, it produces high velocity with easy case extraction in my 940. I'm still waiting to try my can of SR 4756 to see how that compares.

Thanks for the feedback, except for the flash looks like it's a winner for all my needs with the possible exception of .45 APC. Put in an order today... Thanks again.

My son's favorite 9mm load is made with a 124gr Jacketed bullet and Longshot. If you get a chance to give it a try you will like it and the flash is less than with Power Pistol. I favor HS-6 with lead bullets although it works equally well with Jacketed bullets too.
