Yup. But to get her done takes three trips and alot of your time.

1. You have to go down to the main police station to apply for permit to aquire. (you can only apply for permitt and register at the main pd, only one place on the island you can do it)

Wait 2 weeks for the background check.

2. Pick up permit at the pd. Take permit to whoever you bought the gun from. They have a section they have to fill out. Seller gives you the gun.

3. Take gun and completed permit back to pd to register and your done

You can imagine the lines sometimes with only one place on the island to get her done. I've been there for hours at a time before. And it's only metered parking (coins). It's enforced too. Only recently they set up using cards in the meters where you can re up through the meters website\app. Before you had to hope everybody in line was cool when you had to run out and feed the meter and come back to your place in line.

Welcome to the forum! I remember doing that at Honolulu PD when I was living in Japan and owned a home in Kaneohe. I'd get back on vacation and hit the PD first thing same day.

Was pleased to see that at last you guys can get a CCW permit although with the possible exception of California the requirements are the most stringent I have seen. Plus, they're trying to prevent you from actually carrying anywhere you might want to go...

Welcome from the Great State of Texas. Do they even allow you guys to own guns there?

When I was there in the 70's , you could own guns but they had to be registered with the PD and could not be carried for defense.
