K frame, sq. butt. classic panel, bonded ivory, ordered two j frame sets today. silver/black for my 442 and ivory for my model 60 357. They make a very good product.

Are they as durable and well made as they would seem from the photos?

Yes, they make excellent stocks. They are very "new" looking with a glossy finish, and will not give you a retro look. But if you are looking to dress up a gun, Altamonts are a good choice. They make the stocks for S&Ws Classic line as far as I know.
 
I use them so I can take the original grips and stick them back in the box to preserve them.
The profile of the grip is nice, too. Almost hourglass or coke bottle feel tp them.
 
I have the Round Butt Checkered Combats in Rosewood on both my 310 Night Guard, and my 2-1/2" 66 No Dash. The grips really dress them up. Both sets have an excellent fit and finish. No compalints at all about the quality.

Looking at the K Frame Square Butt Checkered Finger Groove Combats for my 64, and 617 now.
