In the last race of his career, American Pharoah just runs away with the Breeders' Cup, becoming the only horse ever to win the Triple Crown and the Breeders' Cup.

Watch all those other guys try to catch him, and then watch him just run away with it at the finish...they didn't stand a chance.

What an athlete, what a beautiful animal. He's earned his retirement!

He cut five seconds off the track record, I heard.

The winner's purse was $2.75 million. But now the lucky devil will make even more money for his owners by doing what comes naturally to a stud horse.

Would have been a cool match race between him
and Secretariat with both in their prime.
It might be a tough call if i was asked, Would you rather
win the Lottery or have Breeding rights for this horse......?

Ah, but could he have beaten Sea Biscuit? :)

That's a good question, and of course we'll never know the answer.

Seabiscuit wasn't just a race horse, he was a societal phenomenon of his times, he was The Little Horse That Could. He was a horse that overcame a poor upbringing and adversity, and Americans caught up in the Great Depression related to that.

For those of you who are really interested in Seabiscuit, I highly recommend Laura Hillenbrand's book, Seabiscuit, An American Legend.
