American Sniper

Outstanding book. For a follow up, go pick up a copy of American Gun. It's good reading as well. I left my copy at a remote forest service cabin last year on a bear hunt. After detailing our hunt in it, I left instructions for the next 10 people to visit the cabin and read the book, to do the same. After 10 have done so, I asked that reader to mail it back to me with all the writings and stories in it. I also made the deal that I'd include a "return prize" for their efforts. It's going to be a while it seems - more remote of a cabin than I predicted :) - I have gotten written correspondence back from one person though, so it's working. I figured it was a small way to spread a good book, written by one hell of a guy. The last post card I got back was from a person who's very much a liberal "greenie" from what I gathered - one who was just out communing with mother nature, yet she read the book, liked it and wrote back saying so. I'd venture to say she'd never have selected that book from the store. Anyway, I'm rambling here..... back to the point. About American Sniper, if you haven't gotten the later released memorial version, pick it up also - has lots of extras.

Great book, both my dog and I loved. I think I read it in 3 days.

I think I may have read “American Snipper?” Is that a story about an Italian-American barber in New Jersey that got busted for having an illegal assault water gun?
