Not law yet. Check the NRA website to keep updated as to what's going on. When something like this slides through it'll be posted in big enought letters for you to read it off your friends screen!

Old news... A represenative in South Carolina tried to get a bill (same kind) into legislation and it didn't even make it to the floor. Last time I checked there wasn't even a commitee formed. Don't fret there will always be the wackos trying to ban everything from fast food to bullets but it is the level headed ones that keep them at bay. Can hardly believe I said level headed.

Is this friend of yours a US Senator or Representative? Does this friend of yours work for an ammunition manufacturer? Does this friend of yours work for a firearms manufacturer? If the answer to these questions is NO, then why would you believe them??

There have been lots of rumors and speculation about what this new administration will do, but to date, there have been ZERO pieces of legislation passed that affects ammunition or handguns... NONE!!!

While the ammunition shortage is very real, it is 100% totally fabricated. There is absolutely no reason for it whatsoever other than people blindly believing this load of manure they read on the Internet without substantiating it! The Internet is the LAST PLACE I would turn to for accurate and timely information.

Contrary to popular belief, the sky is NOT falling!!

That proposal, driven by the guys who patented the equipment for doing the coding, has been introduced in a number of states. So far it hasn't made it out of the first committee in any of them.

Since these "inventors" haven't been able to sell the idea and equipment to the industry, they are trying to make it mandatory so they can get rich. Old news.

I remember reading something about this a few months ago. I assumed that the whole idea was to be able to i.d. a shell casing at a crime scene and track where it came from. That might work if someone were to use a semi-auto in a crime, but what about a revolver?

flop:
The comments were based on the original poster's statement of 'fact' about specific taxes and suppositions, with deadlines. Your general statement about whether the Dems want the public disarmed is a completely different statement. Besides, my Senator is not an a-hole. He is the one who held up Hillary's automatic nomination as Sec. of State and was against Eric Holder's nomination as A.G.

When people start crying about "panic buying" that's about more than just the phantom of ammo coding, which I agree is just crap written on the cyber bathroom wall. I agree that all Democrats aren't anti-gun, just the vast majority. I'll also congratulate you for not having an * senator. Mine are Levin and Stabenow. I doubt there are two more worthless jackasses in the entire Senate.
