Just read article on Ammo INC's new plant in Manitowoc, WI is open. Hopefully they will operate 24/7 360 days a year. Also hope they have redundant machines to run during scheduled maintenance.
What does their ammo box look like?

According to their website, they have next to nothing in stock at present, just some of the "Streak" 9mm. And I see no reason to ever buy that, especially at their prices.

From what little information I have seen, it is unclear whether AI is an actual ammunition manufacturer or merely an ammunition assembler using components obtained from outside sources. Does anyone know?

I am a stock broker . My customers and I own a good bit of AMMO (POWW) stock. They are making good earnings, their sales are way up and P/E is still 6.8( VERY LOW). The new plant in WISCONSIN is in production right on schedule.. There were one time expenses to shut down ARIZ plant as expected. Their ammo boxes are ALL BLACK with word AMMO in embossed black. I find the ammo in Academy , Cabelas and other big box stores.

The old Red River Arsenal?
There isn't much recent information I can find about the "New" Expansion Industries primer manufacturing facility at the old Red River Army plant. One item I found dated in July 2022 mentioned that primer production won't begin until AT LEAST early 2023. And potentially that could mean never. There was another comment from around the same date reporting that there seems to be no evidence of activity going on at the location.

I wouldn't count on any primer supply relief from that source until it happens. I feel the same way about Ammo Inc. until someone convinces me otherwise.

I also read some items about Palmetto State Armory setting up a large ammunition manufacturing plant. This is all I know: What's Up With Palmetto State Armory And AAC Ammo? | Ronin's Grips

Thanks for the insight. I've seen nothing on the re-opening for primer production of the old Red River Arsenal plant in quite a while. Perhaps that project fell through.

Yes in every one of the 4 daily Palmetto state's emails they have AAC AMMO ammo. Maybe they have a " Deal, Deal"?

I know nothing about PSA/AAC, but it sounds interesting. I'll try to do a little more research. From what I am reading about POWW (Ammo Inc.), I wouldn't touch it as an investment with a 10-meter pole. Too squirrely for me right now. Seems to be a great deal of corporate infighting going on. They can't even set a date for the 2022 Annual shareholder's meeting.

Read about the infighting between the Gunbroker former CEO and Ammo Inc owner. Interesting part is that GB has been very successful and made good money where Ammo Inc never turned a profit.
For whatever reason AI was able to 'purchase' GB but the GB CEO was working some side deal that wasn't square with the AI owner. There was a Board fight and the GB guy is out.
For now both operations are being run by AI.
Stayed tuned, I guess.
