While at a local shop/range today, I noticed that there was a lot (and I mean pallets full) of ammo in stock - almost anything that you could want. I don't remember it like this for at least two years or so (before the '08 election). They even had the cheap displays with 22LR spread around the store. Some sample prices for range ammo - Rem 115/9mm @ 12.99/50 (at least $3 less than 6 months ago but still a far cry from the 9.99 of 2 years ago), Rem 130/38sp @ $160/case 500.

Maybe supply is finally catching up with demand :D

I bought some (more than I shot today) - always do, whatever the price - figure it will all average out in time.

It must be getting better. Even this one Walmart had 40+ boxes of Fed 45ACP. By yesterday it still had 26 boxes.
I have never seen so much 45 at any Walmart.

Our local WallyWorld has more in stock than it did a few months ago. The 9mm is priced about $10/50, and it still sells out quickly.

Our Wal-Mart is very well stocked although the prices went up slightly. I can't wait until the POS gunstores that had bought up a lot of the ammo have to lower their prices. Hate it for all the chicken littles as well.

My one local shop has been my go to for most of my ammo the past two years. He's been fair and competes well with walmart.

Wallyworld had Federal 9mm 115gr FMJ $9.95 for 50 round box for quite a while but they're sold out now. I checked today and they had a no name 9mm 124gr FMJ $16.95 for 50 rounds.

I think that no name 9mm that you speak of is RWS. (orange box) I'm believe it's Swiss made. I assume it's the same company that makes the air rifles.
I guess it didn't sell too well at $16. I was in a WalMart today and it was marked down to $12.50.
I've been seeing lots more ammo around here. I even found six boxes of .380 WWB day before yesterday at a Bass Pro Shop. First I've seen in over a year.
