^ same for me. I am in Virginia. I personally love the 550 Federal bulk packs of 36gr hp from Wal-Mart. I have had TWO rounds out of 4500 + that did not fire. $18.97 a box here. My next choice would be CC mini-mags 40gr, but those are .07 per shot, as opposed to .04 for the Federal.

The Walmarts in the Philadelphia area never have the bulk packs and mostly carry remington ammo. The gun stores around here want $11 for a box of cci mini mags. I have to order online.

Wow.. my local fleet farm.. farm and fleet depending on where you live has the 525 blue box federal hps 36grns on sale for 16.99 right now, mini mags are 5.99 and.velocitors are 5.29 for 50.. ( critter use only for me)
So i picked up a 525 box and a GMG bipod adaptor today so i can finnaly use my bipod ln my 1522.. best part is there like 3 miles away from me

I have only tested and used the walmart federal value pack. I saw a few other brands at dicks sporting goods that I will try out. Blazer and M22. Federal is around 19 plus tax here in michigan.

As far as cheap, the absolute best ammo for the M&P 15/22 is.....
CCI Tactical, Copper plated, 1200 40 gran, designed for semi-autos like the M&P.. I shoot this round with ZERO, I mean ZERO FTE and ZERO FTF, they work, perform 100%, and clean burning. It runs about $24 for 375 rounds.

I tried out blazers that's all dicks had left, other then the winchester. But I'm not a fan of winchester other than the pxd1's. Full box of blazer with zero issues. Also went through American eagle with no issues. And just about half way down with federal bulk "blue box".
