S&W doesn't seem to be making too many guns with bobbed hammers these days, but I would like to see basically a 686 with an internal hammer built on a steel frame. To me this could quite possibly be the best carry revolver ever. I would like to see it cut for moon clips, have a front night sight, and either be offered with the C&S rear sight or an integral rear sight like the model 64. Most LE agency's were quick to convert all the model 64's and 65's to DAO, to me this would be even better, no exposed hammer at all and no dirt or debris could ever get in the gun. To be honest I'm kinda suprised the j frame and the 296 have been the only guns ever made like this......

Not steel but the 242 was pretty close, 7 shot too...

I agree and it would be nice! In fact, I just started a new project on a 686 2.5-inch variant. I hope to have it cut, bob, melded, sights, and blacken.
