Just received my Andrews Saddle Style for my M10-8 (sporting Keith Brown grips), to go with the belt and loader carriers. I am blown away by Mr. Andrews' craftsmanship. The fit is perfect--the revolver almost clicks into place. He is also a gentleman and a pleasure to do business with; I cannot recommend him highly enough. Please pardon the slight paint marks that occurred whilst working around the house.

Nice rig!

I have read ALOT of good things about Andrews on the web. I have been planning to buy a Monarch shoulder rig for my 1911 for quite some time now, but every time I have the extra money to order it, something else comes up.

Your post only reinforces my decision to go with them. Thanks for posting! :)

Nice rig!

Are the belt & carrier from Andrews as well? Long wait time?

I need a good concealed carry rig for my 3" K frames.

W/ regards to the carrier: Looks like something of a high speed / low drag setup. I notice the rounds are "saddled" over the belt. When the belt is cinched up tight, does it put excessive tension on the rounds - against the loader locking mechanism?

Thanks in advance!

Known the man personally for years...he is a gentleman and a scholar...and he makes some killer holsters as well!

GCF: All three pieces are from Andrews. The wait was a few months, but worth it. I had previously ordered an identical rig for a 586 that arrived much quicker, so I think it just depends on his workload. Unfortunately the 586 has been at Magnaport since January, so it's a bit of a moot point.

I'm still experimenting with the carrier. So far I've only used it in a match and not for CCW. I am starting to think that any belt mount for a speed loader is too bulky. I tend to either throw one in a pocket or use speed strips.

I would see him at all the greater Atlanta gun shows but not for a year or two. I'm not sure why he does not come up here these days. I own several of his holsters, etc. and they are all first class. I suppose his on-line business keeps him busy.

I knew Sam when he was making holsters in his parent's garage in 1980. Very helpful, enthusiastic and was then and certain he still is very genuine and conscientious. He was passionate about his leather craft and took well deserved pride in his work. He invented a very innovative duty belt key holder that keeps your keys accessible but completely quiet. Unfortunately, his idea was swiped by one of the two major police leather gear makers.

He's been making holsters for a hell of a long time!

I have 3 Andrews saddle holsters and agree the quality is top notch
my last one took over 3 months to deliver... his delivery time doubled after a nice article in American handgunner

I met Sam at a small gun show in Florence,SC about 10 years ago (he must have gotten lost :D) and was impressed with the man AND his holsters. Bought three on the spot!
