Animal House

Animal House was the first R rated movie I ever saw; my dad took me to it because he thought it was so funny. I thought so too, but my main memory is feeling very uncomfortable seeing naked women with my dad.

Animal House is what my friends and I wish college was like. The reality was long hours in the library studying for our classes and doing homework. Okay, the guys on the football team did a lot of horsing around, but if we didn't keep our grades up, we were suspended from the team and watched the games from the stands.

When I went to see this movie I started to laugh from the opening scene until the end!
That movie just ripped me up! It had a great cast of characters for the time, John Belushi was incredible!

One of my most favorite films of ALL time. Some gut busters, still after 40 years.

Most expensive car wreck scene ever. Joe

I'll have to go with the Blues Brothers on that one.
Yup, another hilarious Belushi classic. The car chase through the mall was the most expensive car chase scene ever filmed at the time.

First time I saw Animal House it was playing as a double feature with Cheech & Chong's Up In Smoke.

My best friend, two of my cousins, and I piled into my cousin's little 64 Fairlane and went to the drive in. We had a couple of doobies, and a case of Miller's along for the ride. We got good and lit and then watched the two comedies back to back.

We were all laughing so hard we were in tears for most of the 4 hours it took to watch both shows. The next day my sides ached from having laughed so hard for so long.

I'm watching it on AMC as I type this - they are in the middle of the parade scene. A total comedy classic. Right up there with The Blues Brothers, and Caddy Shack. Those were the days when SNL produced real comedians instead of political hacks.
