I removed the strap for the calf of the leg and just wrap the holster around my boot. Or you can wrap around your leg just above the boot allowing it to ride on the top of the boot. Pretty simple rig.

They lace directly to the boot. Gould and Goodrich BootLock Ankle Holster Model 716 Galco sells an extender that allows their ankle glove to work with boots. I have not used the Gould & Goodrich but it is on my list of purchases for this year.
