There are several good ankle holsters out there. But you will have to decide of course.

Problem is just like any other holster. It's personal. But especially with ankle holsters. Some guys wear tall socks so most any holster is comfortable. Some guys wear ankle sock so the holster material must be comfortable. Not abrasive to the skin.

There's leather, nylon, and kydex hybrid. Some with thumb break and some without.

If you carry the gun high above the ankle you will need a calf strap because the gun WILL slide down to your ankle. If you carry the gun at the top of your shoe then you don't need it.

Consider that the simple act of sitting may reveal your gun. And do you REALLY want an ankle holster? They are slow and much practice is needed.

Anyone here tried the Bianchi here in the ranger nylon if my memory serves me right model 4950.

I carry J frame 638 and a 649 in a Desantis 044 S1 ankle holster that I love. I was carrying a Shield 9 last weekend and also wished I had an ankle holster for it. Desantis offers the 014xx Die Hard Ankle Rig. If it works/fits as well as the J Frame model 044 S1 it will be a very good choice. But you need to try it for yourself. It is not quite the same model. The 044S is made specifically for J frames only as far as I can tell.
