It has been rumored that Superman cannot "outfly" any caliber faster than a .45 acp. :D:D
Chuck

There is of course the transsonic shock wave problem. At low altitudes accelerating a non-aerodynamic body, Kryptonian, to exceed the speed of sound creates a low altitude shock wave more destructive than the revolver round. There is also the multiplier effect of the shock wave being reflected from object. Therefore Superman should limit his velocity to something under the 850 fps muzzle velocity of the common 158 grain lead round nose .38 Special from a 4" S&W Model Ten.
Geoff
Who notes the Metropolis Police might use the 200 grain bullet and the point would be moot.

What would happen if Superman opened his mouth in flight and became a hollowpoint ?

Did any Metropolis Police character other than Inspector Henderson have a name in the show?

Inquiring minds wanna know![emoji12]

I'm enjoying the tunes.
My wife and I just got done torturing the cat.
She held him down and forced his mouth open.
I put some of the high calorie paste on my finger, shoved it in his mouth and wiped it on his tongue. Three times.
Now that's something I'd like to get on video. Then again we'd probably get PETA after us.

Who's this guy PETA we've been talking about?[emoji12]

Back before bar code readers, mom would dig every can out of the shelves to find an older, lower priced sticker. When she found one it was akin to finding dad's change in the washer.

She will still go to three stores, 10 miles apart, to buy corn pads 6¢ cheaper.

Rusty, I am ABSOLUTELY certain we're related!

Off to Church! Hope all of you have a GREAT DAY!

Hope y'all behave while I'm gone today? Just post poo poo water stories! Please post more cat fight photos. The Heck With PETA! More good music, good daily stories, more good Chinese ladies that CANNOT sing or dance videos

You know, the usual stuff!

Got to show off with a Smith display at a local gun trading site yesterday....good time.

Morning drifters. It's 53 degrees on a sunny Sunday morning here in the desert with the temp to rise into the 80's today. Looks like another beautiful day and if we're lucky there will be no attacks by the hoards.

I remember several years ago I was riding down the road out here and passed an emu walking on the side of the road. At first I thought that couldn't be then I looked in the rearview mirror and sure enough there it was somebody's emu had gotten out and was walking on the side of the road. Never saw it again so I suppose they found it and took it home.

But when I first came out here over 20 years ago I was west bound on I-10 and had the CB on, yes I had a CB, and heard some truckers talking about camels and thought they were talking about cigarettes. Well I drove another couple of miles and there going west bound on the side of I-10 was a fella in a cowboy hat riding a camel and leading a second one. You just never know what you will see out here in the desert.

Well you folks keep drifting I got to check out a couple of other sites and see what the crazies are doing this morning.

Well back from scouting the internet and yes the crazies are still out there. All kinds of political nonsense everybody is right everybody is wrong you know the drill. All the ghost hunters and stuff still doing their thing.

You know sometimes I wonder if the whole world is a little bit crazy and I am the only one who is sane and then I stop and think wait a minute this doesn't sound quite right. Maybe it's me. Nah....that couldn't be it.

Well drift on friends I gotta get away from this thing for a while.

Clooney's voice is past its prime on this one, including some broadening of her vibrato, and the chart puts Ronstadt in her top range, but the pairing and the accompaniment are fine.

I've Googled the title of this beautiful song to find out who wrote it, but can't seem to find it. Does anybody know? Sounds a little like Sondheim, but who knows?
