Been looking at buying a .22 plinker. Had a Phoenix Arms HP22 that for a cheap pistol was a very dependable and fun little pistol. I traded it and a TCP 738 for a Bersa Thunder 380 but miss the .22 plinker.
Saw a Sig Mosquito clone on line...pretty much an exact replica .....a Firefly for less that $200 and would like to know if anyone has one and how you like it.

The Firefly is the GSG edition. They sold it through Sig in the US until all of the export chaos with German authorities. Sig discontinued it, GSG kept making it.

They have the same issues of the Mosquito - they are very picky about ammo.

Why not look at the M&P 22 Compact?

Well, lol.....I was looking into the less than $200 actually.
The Mosquito is a good little gun if you only use High Velocity....when you use HYPER velocity ammo it turns that firearm into a great little gun.

In my experience the little Sig is pretty good with regular ammo if you swap in the lighter springs that come with it in the original factory box - as directed in the factory manual.

Save a little more money and find yourself a used Ruger Mark II or III. You'll have a gun you'll keep and enjoy for the rest of your life. And then your kids can enjoy it after you.
