The 'lemons' was my purpose for being in Atlanta. I was taking my brother to a blood specialist. No good news to be had.
The 'lemonade' was a slight detour on the way up. I had seen a 19-1 on a local forum that the owner was willing to sell and it wasn't too far out of the way.
I have a modest collection of the harder to find Model 19, Model 27 and Model 29 pistols with the first engineering change.
From top to bottom: The 27-1 has some muzzle wear and high edge wear but is in overall good condition. The 29-1 is 99% with only a slight turn ring, fantastic cokes, and the presentation case. I've posted it before. The 19-1 that I already had is 99% also but no box. The bottom and latest 19-1 serial number is 403 away from the other 19-1. K 4645xx and K 4649xx.
This 19-1 has some muzzle, high edge, and extractor rod wear but is in otherwise nice condition. The wear seems to be more from carry than actual shooting.
The stocks, however, have been sanded around the bottom-unevenly I might add. I suppose due to chipping. They fit nicely and are in great condition otherwise. I wasn't going to pass on the pistol because of the stocks. I can replace them later.
