I was lucky enough to win this Model 29-3 in an on-line auction...

It is an Alaska Silver Anniversary Commemorative edition. It is one of 300 produced in 1984. I seem to have an affinity for Alaskan guns - this should nicely complement my consecutively serial numbered Iditarod 629-1's...

Very nice find Bob! Funny how the Alaskan guns seek you out. Or is it the other way around... That's a great addition to the family. I particularly like the gold dot patridge front sight. Do you reckon that was original? Congrats!!

Thanks - these just seem to seek me out.

Yes I believe it to be original. While the gun isn't in hand yet, judging from the pictures this is either unfired, outside the factory, or fired very little. Handling marks and a turn line though.

There is a vertical pin from the top of the Patridge blade that is slightly offset. I suspect that it interfaces with a relief cut in the horizontal stem of the gold bead - much the way barrel pins secured the barrel.
